I wanted to provide you an update regarding Personal theft (e.g. pick pocketing, no violence used), which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.

With busy shopping days and crowded spaces around the holidays, pickpocketing can spike.

Below are some measures you can take to keep your belongings safe.

Keep bags zipped - use inner pockets for phones and wallets
Carry bags in front of you in crowded spaces
Don't flash cash or valuables in crowded spaces
Be extra carful when distracted around cash points or leaving the bank
If you see suspicious behaviour report to it to a member of staff nearby.
If you are a victim contact the police as soon as possible on 101 for non emergency or 999 in a emergency

So lets look out for each other and help keep our communities safe.
